An Automated Grading System



In this graduation project, we developed and implemented an automated grading system to help instructors at Albalqa Applied University (BAU) to manage students’ marks and assets in converting students’ numeric scores to letter grades based on the normal distribution and the bell curve.
In this project, we presented and implemented three algorithms in order to convert student’s numeric scores to letter grades.
  1. The first algorithm is implemented based on the student's performance is compared to a specified fixed standard set by the instructor or the university.
  2. The second algorithm is implemented based on class's performance depend on fixed ratios for grades.
  3. Finally, the third algorithm is our proposed algorithm implemented based on class's performance and depends on dynamic ratios for grades. This ratio is set by instructor follwing students’ marks in each class with some constraints (D- & F).

The project is implemented using C# programming language.
